* This is a good solid chest, made of thick pine boards. It has large metal hinges over the top of the lid. The chest has two heavy working metal catches to the front. There are two strong wooden lifting handles on the sides of the box and it stands on two wooden runners. The box was originally used for transporting items and therefore the style is rustic and industrial. The boards to the lid are slightly lifted at one side of the chest but it's just part of the character. The box has been good quality varnish and shows the lovely grain of the wood.
